Overview

At NSW Multicultural HIV and Hepatitis Service, we know that culture and community involvement are essential for fair and equal access to health care for people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

We partner with health services and community organisations to deliver culturally tailored health promotion, education programs, and media campaigns. We co-design and develop a variety of multilingual resources, as well as offer one-on-one support for people living with HIV.

HIV Clinical Concierge Program

We provide one-on-one, in-language support to people diagnosed with HIV.

Multilingual resources

We produce factsheets, booklets, videos and more about HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C and sexually transmissible infections (STIs) in multiple languages.

Media and community engagement

We provide up-to-date information on HIV and viral hepatitis through our multilingual media campaigns. You’ll also see us at local festivals and events, providing outreach and information in language.

Workforce development

We support health care professionals in improving service delivery for CALD communities. We also build the knowledge of multicultural health workers to improve their understanding of HIV, hepatitis, and STIs.
